The Pika L-F High-Speed Hyperspectral Camera

Introduction to the Pike L-F

Resonon is excited to introduce the Pika L-F, a high-speed hyperspectral camera for the visible and near-infrared spectral regimes. The Pika L-F provides line-scan speeds of up to 585 lines per second with 720 spatial channels. Each line has 233 spectral channels (2.5 nm each) with 8-bit digitization per channel.

This hyperspectral camera was designed specifically to solve challenging sorting problems on high-speed conveyors. As shown in the video below, accurate classification is achieved, even at very high data rates.

The Pika L-F uses the proven optical design of Resonon’s popular Pika L hyperspectral camera. Like the Pika L, the Pika L-F provides excellent imaging to enable the identification and classification of small objects and defects in fast-moving product streams.

The Pika L-F works seamlessly with Resonon’s RVS (Real-time Vision System) Machine Vision software, providing the end-user with a single package that covers data acquisition and analysis. The demo video below shows how easy training and classifying are in the RVS software.
